SpiceBloom Organic Oat Flour is finely milled from certified organic oats grown in Canada. Its soft texture and familiar oat flavour work especially well in pancakes, muffins, cookies, slices and banana bread.

Use it on its own in suitable oat-flour recipes or blend it with wheat flour when you want to add oat flavour while retaining the lift and structure provided by wheat.

Baking tip: Oat flour can absorb moisture as batter rests. When a mixture becomes thicker than expected, add milk or water gradually until the intended consistency returns.

Quick Recipe: Oat Flour Pancakes

An easy breakfast recipe with a mild oat flavour and soft texture.

→ 1 cup Organic Oat Flour

→ 1 teaspoon baking powder

→ A small pinch of salt

→ 1 egg

→ ¾–1 cup dairy or plant milk

→ Oil or butter for cooking

Mix the oat flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk in the egg and enough milk to create a pourable batter. Rest for five minutes, then add a little more milk if the batter thickens. Cook small pancakes in a lightly greased pan over medium heat until golden on both sides.
