Frequently Asked Questions
Do dried chickpeas need to be soaked?
Soaking is recommended for faster and more even cooking. Cover with plenty of cold water and soak for approximately 8–12 hours or overnight, allowing room for the chickpeas to expand.
How long do chickpeas take to cook?
After soaking and draining, simmer them in fresh water for approximately 60–90 minutes. Cooking time can vary depending on the age of the chickpeas and your preferred texture.
How do I make chickpeas softer for hummus?
Continue simmering until they are very soft and can be easily crushed between your fingers. Softer chickpeas generally create a smoother hummus.
Can these chickpeas be roasted?
Yes. Cook them fully, drain well and dry thoroughly. Toss with olive oil and seasoning, then roast until crisp, shaking or stirring during cooking.
What does 9mm chickpea size mean?
It refers to the approximate diameter of the dried chickpeas. These are relatively large, plump chickpeas that develop a substantial, creamy texture when cooked.

Take it daily.
Good quality. Arrived promptly.
Lovely quality cinnamon sticks. This is the real McCoy - genuine cinnamon, not cassia. I use them to make my own chai mix, and I’m pleased with these.
It's very easy to shop at SpiceBloom 5stars
I've been using standard cinnamon for years as an anti inflammatory. I had no idea that it caused liver problems. I'm so happy that I've found Ceylon cinnamon from SpiceBloom, It's great in tea and on pastrys ect. I'm glad that I've found SpiceBloom. 5stars.

I love all the products that I get from Spice Bloom. I put my latest purchases together and made a warm drink that is really good for this time of year. I heated some Almond milk and then added some cacao powder, beetroot powder , vanilla powder a little chilli and maple syrup to sweeten, whisked all together and poured into a large mug. It was absolutely delicious. I like how all the spices can be mixed and matched together.
Has a lovely rich chocolate flavour.
Great to deal with. Excellent communication & rapid delivery. Would like to see on the packaging the breakdown of nutrition information & recommendations for use.
Smooth, nice taste, not as earthy as your other option that I tried. Definitely prefer this one. Mixed easily. Only comment is that my package contained lots of firm clumping.
Noticed the difference firstly from supermarket one i usually buy for my coffee its so much better love it
